This past Saturday morning, Lil and I ventured out to downtown Charleston for some window shopping and to go to the market. This past week was Open House at school so we missed our usual night at the Mount Pleasant Farmer’s Market.
We got down there earlier than times in the past (hoping to better maneuver the crowd). With school being in session in most places and the time of day, King Street was a little quieter than what we usual encounter. We started at Calhoun Street and walked towards Broad Street a little ways, gazing into shop windows and popping in and out of shops to browse.
Though the temperatures definitely aren’t hinting at Fall, yet, the window displays certainly were. Some of my favorite fall-inspired displays were by Anthropologie, J.Crew, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn. Williams-Sonoma and Abercrombie really had my pockets burning for sure. Hard as it was, I didn’t make any purchases. Might have found a Christmas present or two, though (for my list, as well as others).
If I wasn’t in Fall mode before, I definitely am now. I’m ready for jeans, scarves, and boots. I even have the house filled with Fall-esque scents, now.
Are you ready for Fall yet? What helps to get you in the mood?
